Case Study
March On For Voting Rights
How we drove the digital strategy behind a 100-city mass mobilization that generated 1 billion+ social media impressions
about
March On for Voting Rights was a national coalition that mobilized tens of thousands of people across nearly 100 cities and towns to demand passage of federal voting rights legislation and D.C. statehood.
What We Did
The Challenge
In 2021, a wave of new voter suppression laws and the Supreme Court’s rollback of the Voting Rights Act put democracy under immediate threat, just months after the January 6 insurrection. March On for Voting Rights was the response: a national mass mobilization on August 28, 2021, 58 years after Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. The coalition needed a digital strategy that could align hundreds of partners, mobilize tens of thousands across nearly 100 cities, and turn one day into a national news moment.
The Work
Communications Strategy
Led the coalition's full digital communications strategy, aligning messaging into a single call to action that drove 16,000+ digital actions to lawmakers.
Content Productiomn
Produced 60+ social content, captions, videos, and graphics for use by flagship organizations and partners.
Partnership Coordination

The Results
1 billion+ social media impressions across the day of action.
60,000+ social posts generated by coalition partners, influencers, and supporters.
100,000+ live viewers on the mobilization livestream.
16,000+ digital actions taken, generating phone calls and emails to legislators.
“We hired Dillon and Team DSB about a month out from the event, a massive nationwide effort with lots of national and local partners. Dillon and his team jumped in right away, and with only minimal guidance, were able to deliver results immediately. Team DSB works seamlessly as part of your team, and with outside partners. They are able to understand and break down complex projects and tackle each moving part efficiently. Always diplomatic, friendly and reliable, it was an absolute pleasure dealing with Team DSB. If you want the peace of mind that comes with polished results and professionalism, I highly recommend hiring Team DSB for your next digital strategy or content production project.”
