Case Study
CoGenerate
How we helped reframe intergenerational collaboration through a teen-led research and storytelling project
about
CoGenerate is a national nonprofit working to bring older and younger generations together to solve problems and bridge divides.
What We Did
Video Production • Communications Strategy • Copywriting
The Challenge
CoGenerate set out to explore what young leaders actually want from older allies, moving intergenerational collaboration beyond one-way mentorship into something genuinely reciprocal. To do it credibly, the project needed to be shaped by teens at every stage, research, storytelling, and final delivery, and land with youth-serving organizations and adult allies in a format built to move them to act.
The Work
Video Production
Led video production in collaboration with 26 teens ages 12 to 19 from diverse backgrounds, involved throughout research and storytelling so the final video reflects their voices rather than an adult lens.
Communications Strategy
Led the distribution strategy for the final report, translating teen-led research and conversations into a written product built to land with youth-serving organizations and adult allies.
Digital amplification strategy
We advised on the digital amplification strategy for the launch, helping CoGenerate plan how the report and video would move across channels and into the hands of the audiences best positioned to act on the findings.
The Results
A clear call to action for the youth-serving sector, pushing organizations and adults to build reciprocal, two-way partnership models with teens.
Built with teens, not just for them: 26 teens from diverse backgrounds shaped the research and storytelling throughout, modeling the reciprocal collaboration the project advocates for.
